Not at all - EBC specialise in Kevlar pads and we have had trouble 
getting a car with new cables, calipers and new regular pads through the 
MOT brake test before the pads were bedded in 9tough given what they 
do!). A set of EBC's on another car with exactly the same work, at the 
same MOT test centre passed first time. They were noticably more grippy
