You will get some conflicting opinions here, but the answer is yes. It is bad. --Unless you like hot wires, overworking alternator, and stressing already weak circuits. I suppose it could theoretically hurt you gas milage, too. So long as I am in motion, my fans almost never run unless I turn on the A/C. Especially this time of year...
