I didn't mean to get a home equity vs. credit union debate started up. The
fact is that there are many different ways that a person can finance or pay
for a Delorean. The type of loan you get is dependant on many different
factors, so what one person on this list is able to get, may have no bearing
on what another may get.What is easy for one to do, may be impossible for
another. Since I'm in an apartment, a home equity line would be out of the
question. I'm going to go out on a limb here, but I bet that most people who
already own a Delorean live in a house, even if it's their parents. I plan
on having these things done before I purchase mine.
1. Get a house.
2. Have an everyday driver other than a Delorean.
3. Have at least some money saved up to maintain the Delorean.
