When I said vacuum I meant with a liquid extractor. You are correct, a wet/dry vac is not a good idea! I use a liquid extrator that I got from Griot's garage. It is not the best but it works and doesn't need a source of compressed air so it can be used anywhere. Just use general fuel handling precautions. Working with fuel is one of the most dangerous procedures on a car. (driving can be the other!).
