Just to add my $.02, I live in KY and I had a Jeep Grand Cherokee I sold to a man that lived in Indiana. About 3 months later, I recieved a notice saying I was overdue on the taxes/registration. I went down to the County Clerk's office, explained the situation and showed them my documentation (bill of sale, copy of title with his signature, and all of his information). They then told me to that this happens all of the time because Indiana doesn't send the data to them that quickly. It only took them about 5 mins. and they had the whole thing straightend out. I can only assume from this that WI may also be slow moving. Have you gone to the County Clerk's office and talked with them?
