Bob Zilla's point is that the wiring may (not WILL, but MAY) overheat on some cars. I disagree too however, I think that the amount of time the fans stay on when the coolant thermostat trips to cool the engine alone lasts long enough to root out any adverse effects for running the fans continuously. In other words, if the wiring lasts for the 2 minutes that takes, it'll last when running the fans constantly with AC (which I do too FWIW).
