Some others replied to this question already, but i have a diffrent 
solution. First of all your friend should replace the realys as a 
must. I belive the problem is that they use a ground in a sort of 
pig tail, it goes from ground, to the next relay, to the next relay 
etc. What i did was replace the wires (socket clips are availbe at 
auto parts store), but i ran the wire to the screw holes on the 
metal plate that holds all the electrics. I used eye hold type 
conenctors and ss screws to make it look good. You then run the 
inital ground wire there as well. The idea is each relay has it's 
own grounding point. Haven't had a problem yet, and grady says it's 
a good idea.
