struts

Hey guys and gals,

i am in the process of buying a delorean and it needs new struts for 
the doors. I was wondering if i need to buy the new struts from an 
actual delorean dealer or if i can just run out and grab em at a 
local auto dealer. 

I wouldnt want to damage the door mechanism by getting struts that 
are to strong (etc.). 

let me know what kind of experience you guys have had
