Un-warping interior panels... Thoughts?

my interior top door panels are a bit warped, as is the rear luggage 
area top panel.

I was thinking that one might be able to remove and dampen these 
panels enough to get them back into shape then they could be 
reinstalled.

I also thought that they could be dampened with a heavily diluted 
wood glue solution which would re-bind the fibers and dry fairly hard.

Before I go f'ing up my car, I am asking advice from you all...

Good idea/bad idea?
