Pure water is never the way to run nor is 70/30, trues water has better 
cooling power but don't forget antifreeze lowers the freezing point as well 
as raising the boiling point. I don't know how it is in the North but in 
Virginia a 70/30 mix causes water to boil off when the temp creeps up. (not 
212 degrees because as everyone knows when water is under pressure that 
raises the boiling point as well.) A 50/50 mix is probably the best mixture 
you can have to keep the engine cool enough and to keep the water from 
boiling off or freezing in the winter.
