You can switch the relay.

When I purchased my car the first updated service kit that I installed 
was the relay update kit from DeLoreanOne. The kit changes and updates the 
fuse's, relays, circuit breakers etc.
Later when I had PJ Grady install the Fanzilla, one of the relays, along 
with the fan fail module in the relay compartment is removed to facilitate 
the Fanzilla installation. 
The removed relay was part of the relay update kit from DeLoreanOne. I 
switched the old engine compartment relay to the updated Bosch relay from D1.
