We completely remove the hood, lay it on its back and adhere the seal using 3M Super Weatherstrip Adhesive #08008.

I recently purchased the luggage compartment seals to replace my old 
cracked ones. Unfortunately the strip of glue on the back is no 
longer "sticky" enough to hold it on. Does anyone have a suggestion 
for an adhesive to use?
