Unless your starter casing is destroyed, have it rebuilt at a local automotive electric shop. I had mine rebuilt in Bellevue, Wa it was only $85.00. ~Bryn 10010 -----Original Message----- From: Hotmail [mailto:sheilaridez@xxxx] Sent: Monday, November 27, 2000 11:38 PM To: dmcnews@xxxxxxxxxxx Subject: [DML] Best place to get a starter? Hi, I need an entire starter mechanism now (minus the solenoid) for my 81 D. I thought only the solenoid was blown, but low and behold I was wrong :) Where is the least expensive place to pick one up at? Will another car's starter work?
