I remember reading a long time ago on the DML that DMC Houston has a
complete set of the manufacturing plans (blueprints, etc.) for all of the
pieces of the DeLorean -- and if memory serves, there were a few private
owners who had copies of some of those documents, too. Surely one of those
sources could find the plans for the engine cover hinges, as well as many
of the other short-supply items, and present them to a machine shop to have
them remanufactured? I'm not saying it would be easy, but I am saying that
it's possible.

Please correct me if I'm wrong about the plans -- Sunday afternoon football
and Coronas have a tendency to put my memory a little out of focus... ;-)
