The original message indicated that "The original factory coating was actually a powdercoat process " I believe the original coating was an liquid epoxy coating which is not as good a coating as powder coating. The bond created in the powder coat process is extremely tight and no liquid process can beat it. You can powder coat springs and it will last. BTW ... if you want to powder coat the frame, have the first coat applied as a zinc rich coating for added rust resistance. Then have the next coat be the color coat. Nick Kemp Deer Lake Orchard
