Well, a bush jumped out and bit my DeLorean. Now there are a large number
of scratches on the fender flair just behind the rear wheel. My question is,
what would be the best method of removing these scratches by hand? I have a
show coming up this weekend and would like to remove these scratches before
that time. Most of the scratches are very small and I believe that they can
be removed very easily. However, some (more than I would like) are a little
deeper and may be a problem to remove - after I work on it for a little bit,
I will have a better idea about how deep they are. Can someone give me some
quick suggestions on how I can remedy this issue.
Thanks,

Sean,
A body shop in Milwaukee told me they would refinish DeLorean panels they had
'bumped out' with 80 grit in a belt sander going in the direction of existing
grain pattern. Your scratches can probably be removed with a scuff pad
(flexible sanding pad) available at auto or hardware centers.
