Warm start prob. - Not accumulator

Hi Folks,
I am now a proud owner of an 81 (~35,000 miles), and while I love
to drive it, it has been stranding me lately. It starts fine when
cold, but after I've been driving it a few miles, then turn it off
and
let it sit more than about two minutes, it won't start again. It
turns
over, but doesn't fire... it seems fuel starved. I have to let it
sit
for several hours before it is back in the mood to run. I read the
archives, and was pleased to find that others had solved this problem
by replacing the fuel accumulator, which I have now done. Then it
stranded me again, doing exactly the same thing. My mechanic (very
familiar with Ds, Haglin in Boulder, CO) says that the fuel line is
holding pressure VERY well (better than usual, apparently), so he
doesn't think there is any problem with the value in the fuel pump.
He's pulled the injectors, and they all appear to be working fine.
He's stumped, I'm stumped, I don't know what else to do. He's still
looking at it, but I thought that if anyone had any suggestions, I
would be pleased to hear them. Thanks to the contributors for a
great
list!
