I fixed my own defrost switch!!!

Dear List,
I'm proud to announce that I just fixed my defroster switch...all by
myself!! I have had my car for two years and the switch has been broken
the whole time. Mainly this was because I lost the roller pin that goes
in it. Today, however, I found a machine screw that was the exact same
size as the roller pin, so I cut off the head, plopped it in, assembled
the other parts, plugged in the switch and...WOO-HOO, IT WORKS!!
Now if I could just get my angle drive retainer nut off, I'd be
happy! *grin*
