Mike,
Just a comment along R/C lines. I have been into R/C car racing for
some time, both indoor and outdoor and have many cars. Also into R/C
planes and helicopters FYI.
I keep wishing someone would stamp out a DeLorean for the R/C car purpose.
I have two shells on hand here that will fit standard R/C car
chassis/motors, that are the Lamborghini "Countach". They are quite
detailed, but just an exterior shell.....stamped out or formed by the
zillions I suspect.....the cost was minimal...like $6.95 or so for the two
sizes. Most of us air brush them on the inside, which minimizes cosmetic
damage in crashes. One size is around 18 inches long and the other 13
inches. I use the longer one with my standard chassis and it just sets over
it and fastens with two wing nuts quickly. According to old DOA mags,
someone made an R/C DeLorean along those lines, and it would be interesting
if someone on here knew where they came from and could resurrect them for
us! FWIW Dept.
