I had this same problem. After replacing the injectors, my D ran fine for about a month. The cause was water in the tank. I didn't get it from bad gas, I got it from not having the rubber cover on the fuel pump. Something one does not look for when buying a car. My car was not inside and the rain runoff had leaked into the tank.Check the back issues of Delorean World, (Fall1987) in it you will find how to install a plenum drain baffle to keep the water that runs off the windsheild from getting anywhere near your fuel pump cover. Check the rubber fuel pump cover first, make sure it is water tight. Then follow the instructions on how to install this homemade item. DMC Joe may disagree on what is wrong with your car but the way you describe it, sounds like my old nightmare. A happy ending to this story is that after making the repairs to the fuel system, my D has no fuel related problems. As for the speaker box, contact Rob at PJ's. He had in his car what I called speaker-zilla. Dont know if he sells it or just made it for his own ride but it looked and sounded great!
