I've installed at least two of Toby's 3-core radiators - no issues
with them fitting at all. I've looked at plenty of cars and have
never noticed a difference between the 83s and anything else in that
area. I had heard the discussions over the years about the
aftermarket units not being a proper fit, while they are a tad
thicker I've not seen this be a problem.
The biggest problem with the job is breaking all the little studs
off, especially the ones that hold the evaporator to the radiator.
I've gotten pretty good a removing the brackets, having a new bolt
welded in, and re-riveting the brackets to the evap. There are also
some no-so elegant shortcuts that you can do, but they will make the
next mechanic to work on it hate you.
