I've got no good solution but I've experienced the same problem with the regulator. I 
got a 136 Amp alternator, a sterdy thing, but I've busted two regulators in it of no 
aparent reason. Right now I'm using my old Motorola. I'll give the 136 Amp a new try 
in a couple of weeks. I can keep you posted on the progress, I am a bit worried my 
self.
