No, there was no "second generation".There was only
one model, alternatively called the "DMC -12" or
"DeLorean Sports Car".He's either pulling your leg or
he thinks its true.The car did however evolve a bit
during production with changes such as different hoods
and wheel colours.But definately only one model.
