Hello

Just a quick question: I installed 6 all-new gas struts, and they all work

and everything, but the driver's side door hangs down about 4-5 inches,
and
the other door goes to the top. Maybe its something wrong with the torsion

bar?

Thanks,

Does anyone know what the ground wire is for in the small harness that
goes to the radio? THere are 2 wires with in-line fuses...one is for
acc. power and one is for full time memory back-up for the radio BUT
there is also a ground wire with these two. I just installed a new
radio and wanted to know what this goes to an if it is important. I'm
leaving it as is but any ifo would be great

Thanks

Could you please provide information about the parts that you
mention here. For instance, what shocks, rotors, & pads are you
using on your D? Thanks. I would really appreciate it.

Once again, we have the reproduction DeLorean molded head key blanks
in stock. Backorders will deplete much of the stock on hand, so if
you do not already have an order placed, place one soon to ensure
quickest delivery.

I have now posted 4 pictures of the spring on my DeLorean to aid in
opening the engine cover. Two of the pictures show the cover in the
closed and open positions while the other two pictures show the spring in
the "free" position and fully compressed position. I hope this helps some
of you out that are having problems with your cover opening correctly.

If any of you need any additional information, pictures, details
(measurement), etc. contact me privately at tsuyoi@xxxxxxxxxxxxxxx

For those of you who have replaced your radio with a new one, and
DIDN'T have to cut and hack your radio bracket, could you e-mail me
which radio you purchased? I know there is one from Kenwood, model
KRC-2007, but was wondering if there are any other ones that people
have tried. I checked the back issues and only found the Kenwood
model. Thanks for your help

You are correct in assuming that there is a problem with the torsion
bar. If you installed a new strut and the door doesn't open fully
then
you most likely need to adjust the torsion bar. It is not a procedure
to take lightly though. If not done properly by an experienced
mechanic with the correct tools you can cause a lot of damage to the
car and potentialy serious damage to nearby persons. I would recomend
you find someone who has done this before and has the correct tools.
If there is a Delorean club in your area you should be able to find
someone to help. Most clubs have door adjustment sessions or at least
a member who can do it.

John,
Swap the door Struts to eliminate the chance the one of the new struts is
defective. If the other door sags send that strut back to the supplier. If

not a Torsion bar adjustment is in order.(Not a casual job)

I have been working on cars a long time. Over the years I have seen both
front
headlight fail the the same time many times. I 'm not sure what causes
this.
However, I think a voltage spike occurs when one light fails. The
collapsing
-15 - 20 amps fieled could flow back to the other lights since they are on
the
same circuit.

This failure also occurred on older cars with independent voltage
regulators.
However, I have never since this on a generator car.

John,

Do a quick test first. Switch the two door struts. If the sagging door
changes sides, it is a defective strut. Otherwise, you need to have the
driver's door torsion bar adjusted.

Hello

I was looking at the headlights and found that when I push the lights on
once, everything works, but at the second push, the headlights do not come

on, but the dash says they do. Then, when I turn on the brights, they all
turn on. Is there something wrong with the switch or the headlights??

Thanks a lot,
