The relay to the left of the resistor is there to bypass one half of the resistor when you start so as to compensate for the lower battery voltage available when cranking the car during starting. My relay is metal.... There are two plugs in that area but none have black and white wirea as far as I know. One is for the reverse lights and one with a red and black wire is sometime connected to a capacitor and most times not connected at all. The AC compressor has a pink wire going to it for tits clutch. 2a. SEVERAL ELECTRICAL QUESTIONS Posted by: "mike clemens" rmclemns@xxxxxxxxx rmclemns Date: Thu Oct 4, 2007 8:38 am ((PDT)) I've got a couple of questions that should be easy, but I cannot find answers to in the parts or maintenance manuals. In the engine compartment, on the firewall, next to the big resistors is a blue relay. Is this the relay for the rear window heater or something else? Also on the firewall, about in the upper center is a two wire plug (one wire is white, one is black). What does this connect to? Lastly, by the A/C compressor, is a single spade connector wire (white with a orange stripe, I think). What does this connect to? The melted wiring in Josh's car is giving me fits, but I'm down to the last few wires and any help would be appreciated. Thanks.
