Okay, I came across something electrical this weekend that has me totally baffled. Maybe someone out there can give me a good explanation. If you follow the 5 wires from the windshield wiper/washer switch on the steering column you will find they connect to the intermittent wiper module that is attached to a metal plate (boomerang shaped) that is positioned above the steering column and behind the binnacle. The five wires going from the wiper switch and are all attached to a 5-prong female plug that plugs into the intermittent wiper module male plug. Here's my question, if you look closely at the male pins on the intermittent wiper module, you will note that there are only 4 pins present, not 5. I have three different modules and all are missing the pin that should connect to the brown/light green (NLG) wire. Coming out of the module, via the female connector, all 5 wires are utilized. I checked the picture provided by DMC Houston of a module and it also shows this pin missing. Why is the brown/light green wire from the wiper/washer stalk not connected to anything??
