One great source is an old textbook by Martin Stockel... Probably the
best all-around auto text I've seen, and has taught me most of what I
know. Just do a search on "Stockel" on eBay. Any version of the text
from 1965 on up is still very applicable for the automotive basic. I
just picked up another copy in hardcover for like $6 including shipping.
Any automotive experience will help though, so try making friends at
local car shows/cruises and just ask to watch or help when someone does
some work. Most owners are happy to teach you the ropes.

Subject: [DMCForum] newbie here
Hi everyone,
I am new to the DMC forum. I live in Toronto, Canada and I would love
to own a DeLorean some day.
As a person who is not technically inclined, I need to learn as much
as I can before I make the commitment to buy. Short of taking an auto
mechanics course, where would I start?
Also, are there reputable DeLorean service centres in the Toronto
area? I'd like to use the car as a daily driver but not if I have
to take it to the shop every week.
Thanks for all your help,
D.S
