No. It's a Renault Block, The engine mounts to the bellhousing on 4 holes. Two of these holes are part of the main block, two are part of the lower crank case. The lower crank case is different on just about all PRVs and certainly different between the various manufacturers. Our cars have a Renault gearbox, Renault crank case. You can't fit another Volvo engine. You -can- fit a Renault 21 turbo engine if you like. That's a powerful 4-pot.
