I knew the other stuff was just due to how things looked in the picture.
When I was referring to the alternator being wonky I was looking at this
picture.

It looks like the pulley end needs to rotate to the passenger side a bit.

It's nowhere near as pissed as that photo makes it look. Just like the 
engine isn't at all pissed but the slightly bonked position of the 
intake pipe and the intercooler makes it look like that! (the left turbo 
is actually further for the centre than the right one - nothing to do 
with me!)
