Stories from fellow Ohio owners also tell a tail that Jerry Rhine of Newark, OH
walked away with barrels/truck loads of parts from the warehouse. He says he
bought them pennys on the dollar but I think it was a five finger discount. His
son is now peddling their wares on E-Bay. I forget the Ebay ID right now....

At one time, the KPAC warehouse was much larger than
what DMCH bought.  

The story I heard was they needed to reduce the amount
of space they were using, so they simply thew
out/destroyed parts to accomplish it.

Had they said "Fascia blowout sale, $100 each" they
would have made the value of stock in that part
worthless.

Again, moral versus business.  For those of us that
love DeLoreans and go to significant effort to "save"
anything related to the car it seems unthinkable to
destroy any useful part.. From a business point of
view, they wanted to reduce their expenses without
lowering the value of their parts.
