They made mention last night on SNL. They played a brief clip of Pryor
opposite Chevy Chase where Pryor is applying for a job. Chevy throws out a
few "test words" to which Pryor responds.
The skit was hilarious, but my how TV has changed.

And Silver Streak (my fav), Stir Crazy (with Gene Wilder again), See
No Evil/Hear No Evil (with Gene Wilder yet again), The Wiz (he was the
Wiz), Car Wash, Uptown Saturday Night, The Muppet Movie (he sold Gonzo
the baloons), etc, etc, etc. I think he appeared in 40 some odd
movies, and still did stand up, Saturday Night Live, TV Specials, etc.
He also directed and starred in Jo Jo Dancer, Your Life is Calling --
a pseudo autobiography that has a lot of potential but really doesn't
go anywhere (interesting concept because he plays both himself and a
Greek Chorus like alter ego that critiques him).
Great comedian that I am sorry to see go (even though his health was
pretty pitiful by the end. He had MS just like Montel Williams).
And Thursday was the 25th anniversary of John Lennon's premature
death. Bummer ET week.
