Where did you hear that? These news sites say he was picked up by a rescue boat
and taken to the SuperDome just like everybody else. Then moved to "an
unspecified location 'because of all the media attention.' "

Gee, they sent in a special chartered helicopter to rescue Fatts
Domino, an almost 80 year old man.

I'm sure his ststus didn't have anything to do with him having a
private US Guard chopper pick him up.
