[DMCForum] Re: Citroen Engine in prototype (Martin)

I was speaking to its 4 cylinders and small displacement. Suspect my
GM 151 is similar in output. Total vehicle weights are nearly
identical, so the prototype probably performed similarly to my
particular AMC (pitiful). That's why no one was allowed to road test it.

Note that AMC did introduce its own 2.5 liter engine in 1985 (I
incorrectly recalled 1983) that is not too far removed from imported
B27/28: 120 max HP @ 5400 RPM, 145 lbs max torque @ 3250 RPM. If I had
one of those, coupled to the 5 speed transmission AMC went to in 1983
(only 4 gears in 1981), my little green car would actually perform
nearly like my DeLo. Would certainly make driving more fun yet still
be fuel efficient.
