That or we can admit that the root cause of all this is the fact that
since people have been able to survive past hurricanes, we let our
collective ego get the best of us, and chose not to be prepared, as
that might have looked "bad". After all, we're America! We don't see
tragic events like this here. And even in our movies, not only is
stuff like this not really, but the hero always triumphs over the
obsticles and wins.

Even to those survivors down there, they still can't accept that this
has happened. Hence why everyone who gets interviewed keeps commenting
that "...this is like something out of a movie...".

If you do get shipped down into the delta area to help out, or
