Subject: [DMCForum] Gas alternatives, then?
So, with the current gas situation, and with oil companies being Evil
(TM), what alternatives, if any, exist?
I read somewhere that one could (build, buy?) a device to produce
hydrogen cheaply. It would run on solar power and household water
during the day; at night, you'd come home to a full tank of hydrogen
for refueling your car. Is this viable?
What about other options? It seems converting a DeLorean (any car, for
that matter) to run on electric motors is easy and relatively cheap;
the problem is getting the power onboard. Today's batteries just don't
cut it. Is hydrogen the answer? If not, what is?
