Watched on TV and outside. Simply amazing.

As beautiful as this launch was (and I agree that the tank camera
provided some really cool footage... desktop background material
there), it doesn't hold a candle to the launch with the blue death ray
in the sky.

A few years ago my Scout troop and I went to see a launch up close (I
think it was Endeavor but I'm not sure). The light and the gas plume
interacted to make a huge, thick blue beam that stretched from the
moon to the pad. It was a gorgeous sight.
