It is a 12-head ambulance strobe setup from Whelen.
One in each front turn signal. (2)
One in each door light fixture (6)
Two on each of the rear taillights (4)
They rotate through 10 different strobe patterns
(http://wattco.net/wattcopatterns.html). None of the bulbs are visible
- completely hidden.
Oh, yeah, I have police headlight wig-wags as well. A friend gave me
some brand new purple neon kit, but I don't think I can go that far.

I can believe that. Doesn't surprise me a bit that you'd have
difficulty photographing something like that.
So, where are they mounted? Is this an under-the-car thing? How do you
use them - a constant flashing, or what? Are you trying to achieve
some certain effect? I'm just curious, it sounds like a neat setup.
-Ryan, who will admit to toying with the idea of neon under my car
