The connections at the bypass are good?  the fuses in
they bypass are good?

Get out the volt meter, and start checking the
circuit.

Do the headlights work?  are there any other
electrical oddities?

IIRC, the fans are grounded by the frame on the driver
side in the front.  Pull the driver front wheel off
and you should see them there.  Clean the connections,
and put it back together.
