I know Rich can handle himself so I am not going to defend him here. If he
wants to tear someone a new one, he is more than capable.
The migration for the www.DMCForum.com website has been an on-going project
for a long time. Without going into too much detail and boring everyone,
Walt has been paying for hosting all by himself and the site gets little to
no traffic. In the effort to keep it at least intact, he wanted to explore
ideas on moving it somewhere else to save money or eliminate the cost
altogether.
The problem so far has been that everywhere one looked to move, they didn't
support the format the site is designed in. Rich volunteered, yes,
volunteered, to take the time and convert it in an effort to get it moved to
somewhere else. It seems Walt no longer has the time, or maybe the
interest, in this anymore and is pursuing other interests so it's up to us
if we want to keep it running.
Greg
PS - I think the "stick with your fellow concours judges" comment was a bit
too far.

I tried really hard not to respond, but...... Well,
you know me. :)
Did you make this decision on your own Rich?? I will
try to put it as gently as I can, but I don't think
you would be a good choice to assume responsibility
for the Forum.
In your message discussing Walt's decision to give up
his role, you admit that you have not been following
the Forum (for whatever reason). I don't think it is
wise to accept responsibility for a group you lack
interest in. If there is "too much bickering" here,
then maybe it is best you stick with your fellow
Concours judges that run the DML.
