RE: [DMCForum] De Lorean appearance...

The owner I mentioned, like me, is doing everything himself.  He and I both
have bought tons of stuff from Josh and if anyone needs a reference, I can
highly recommend dealing with Josh on anything you need.

I don't have the other guy's permission to give details, but he did start
with a really nice car and it is now very, very nice.  My car, however, is a
completely different story.  I started with a wrecked basket case.

Being resourcefull helps too.
If you are paying someone else to do all the work it will cost a lot more.
But if you can do most of yourself and get refurbished parts from other
vendors
then you can do wonders.
My buddy EJ here in Fort Worth bought a DeLorean that sat for about 20
years.
It loked like hell when he got it and to be honest at the time I thought he
should
have junked it and started over with another car.
He has done miricles with that car, I am so impressed with what he has done
with it
so far. He got a lot of his stuff from Josh, ... a recovered dash, binnacle,
etc.
When I bought my seat covers from DMCH, my original seats were pretty darn
good condition
so EJ bought them from me and they look good in his car.
He done the stereo up real nice, lowered the car and got the engine up to
shape.
Now all he needs to do is paint the fascias and few other things.
I am not sure how much he has spent so far but I don't think it is too much
more than $5000.00, I will have to ask him.
