You've managed to articulate what I could not. You've got your head
screwed on pretty straight for a 17 year-old.
That's exactly right; I'm not a swinger, I don't wife-swap and I
don't sell my kids on Ebay. The car has an intangible value that is
worth more than its physical, tangible value. That makes it
priceless to only one person- me. It is just a car, but for me, it's
a vessel of memories and experiences that can't be replaced. I've
only owned the damned thing for 2 years 3 months, but it's been
intense, I've made lots of friends and seen lots of things with it.
That's aside from it's value as a rare piece of American automotive
history and as a short-lived pop icon.
I was not able to explain this to Marc. He has repeatedly stated
that everything has a price. I find it difficult and sad to believe
that he doesn't have -something- in his life that is beyond price,
that he would sell literally anything he posesses if only enough
money were provided. I hope I'm wrong.
