On the DVD commentary they mention filming some of the
"pushing the DeLorean" scenes backwards, with the De
actually trailing the train. (Reversing the film
afterwards of course.)
Then again, the commentary also includes statements
about the DeLorean's four-cylinder engine, so I would
be cautious. LOL
