VERY good post..
The only thing is, I don't think the
"alt.rec.autos.delorean" group was ever created.
There was a request for it, but because it never
happened the DML was the result.
If memory serves, James was the "Internet director"
for the DOA at the time. So, there was also some hard
feelings that he went off on his own.
I am sure James can shed some more light on the
subject. Give him a call! LOL
ALSO, Google has a nice search engine for searching
the entire archives of the still somewhat active news
groups. When you go to google, you can click
"groups".
Google is trying to start a service to compete with
Yahoo Groups (There is even 2 small DeLorean groups)
but the search engine will go through all of the old
"netnews" archives.
For Instance, Here is James trying to sell some stuff
back in 1995!
