Great reply Bob.

You're right. Gays interest in marriage has less to do with religious 
attitude and more
to do with being considered a "family" in the eyes of the legal world.
Gays who decide to spend their lives together (and who statically stay 
together longer than most hetro people) ...can not share health insurance as 
a "spouse" or have legal right to estate
or control over medical decisions.
These "couples" want the right to file taxes together, get insurance 
discounts together
and share in all of the things that the government has set up to be perks 
for couples.

The thing that I don't get is, why the gays?
I mean, of all of the crimes against God why is it so important to impede on 
these
peoples lives?
The Jews killed Jesus, why are the Christians not blocking those jewish 
temples?
What about all the other religions who worship "false idols", my lord there 
are billions
of people out there who will be unknowingly going to hell because they 
squandered
their entire life worshiping another god!
When is the last time you saw a group of Buddhist Priests blocking the doors 
to a porno shop?
Or a crown of Rabbi's stabbing abortion doctors?
Or Islamic's blowing up a building? .... oh wait, scratch that last one.

Why can't everyone mind their own dammed business and let people be?
When will we as Americans follow our own creeds and the foundations that 
this place
was built on and separate our government from personal beliefs?
This is why I don't believe in democracy and I don't think it works.
Sometimes the "majority" just means all the idiots are on the same side.

If a school teacher asks her class, "kids, by a showing of hands, who wants 
to learn math
and who wants to go to recess all day?"
We know how the vote will go.
Does this method of choosing our fate really work and give us what is best 
for us?
Do I want some uneducated redneck who is blood thirsty and racist to make 
the decision
over who should run the country I live in?
According to the voting polls that is what happens year after year.
Just because there are more stupid people than smart people doesn't mean 
that is the
best way to decide a government.

The leaders of this country should run it like a business, take care of it's 
citizens by giving them
all healthcare and education.
If they took all the money they spent on war and palm greasing and spent 
that money on
education, community involvement, drug rehabilitation, counseling and health 
care you would
see the crime rate drop and the job rate increase.

It makes me sick to my stomach to think that the people who raise our kids 
all day,
the teachers of our public school system make about as much money as a kid 
at McDonalds.

The corruption of this country is getting out of hand, and the herding of 
the sheep that
makes up so much of the "right" is what controls it.

The terrorists are bombing us for a reason folks....
