Well, businesses attract smart people, too.. and they pay much better than
universities. I'm not sure why they'd stay at a job that pays less than
'the real world'. To me, that doesn't sound all that smart. =)
I have read articles that show that the more education you have, the more
likely you are to vote Republican, but that doesn't explain the anomaly of
university faculty being overwhelming Democrats. Does anyone else know?

I thought the same thing... It was not until the
writer pointed out that prior Republican candidates
were welcome that it even made any sense.
Institutions of study tend to attract smart people,
no?? Kind of makes you question the assumption that
they are all Left-Wing. This would add validation to
the IQ chart sent out earlier in the week. no?
