No, it would not be too late if he only publically stated that he was
attempting to do so. Our government, as you know, can not do anything fast.
There would be plenty of time to protest.
Face it -- you know this will never happen, no matter how much anyone in
-any- public position wanted it. You are one of the people that would be in
line to stop it, and I would be right next to you.
It won't happen. Period. You KNOW that. So why even bother discussing
what bizarre legislation you feel -might- happen, until someone actually
proposes it? Don Quixote... fight the windmill when it actually DOES become
a dragon. Until then, there is no point...
