I don't know that I'd say we have "plenty" of money to go around.
We're middle class, like most everyone else. I manage the money and
I'm fairly good at it, though, so that helps.

LOL... There's a lot to like about marriage, but you have to find the
right person. Figure out what she's like when you're dating and don't
rush into anything. Make sure a friendship forged from love and
respect exists first. I think the big key is finding someone who
enjoys seeing you happy, and vice versa. My wife knows these random
adventures ("I'm going skydiving!", "I'm buying x", etc) bring joy to
my life and she is happy for me, instead of resentful and controlling.
If a happy marriage is something wanted, it can be found. The first
time a girlfriend gives you any lip about buying a new stereo or
something, break up with her. If she tries to control your hobbies
while you're dating, she'll only get worse once you're married. My
wife always liked my sports cars when we were dating and anytime I'd
come up with a new crazy scheme, she was all gung-ho about it, so I
knew she was a keeper.
