Actually, the retainers were slightly different than anything I could find
at local salvage yards... the 'ears' are in different positions.

I wouldn't see why they couldn't. Sealed beam headlights from the
80's are pretty common. If you look on the bulbs and they are by
Sylvania, you'll also see bulb #'s on them. SO they possible could
be. I wouldn't think the mounting design and metal retainers would
be very unusual to find on other 80's are cehicles. Do the
headlights also have a little finishing strip between the low & high
beam bulbs?
