I am thinking it is due to the design of the tank..
Anything short of a active processor in there to take
the "average" fuel level, I dont think we can do much
better.

There are a number of people in the DMC community who
could build such an item, but I have my doubts that
anyone would be willing to pay for someting that
advanced for fuel level.

None of the senders I have seen are linear, and all
seem to fluctuate at least 1/4 of a tank when it gets
below 1/2.

While I like the Zilla unit better than the DMCH one
due to the microswitch setup, I dont think Zilla will
be any better on the fluctuation issues.
