Mark V is made from very heavy gauge steel (big dull edges). Been all
over those things and the only nicks I've ever received have been from
the points of trim screws poking through. I've been inside a Mark V
door up to my shoulder no problem. 

My AMC's never bit me either (over the years have replaced just about
every component in one of its doors or the other, and installed dual
mirrors and stereo speakers).

Can't even look at my DeLorean's doors without the crazy thing gouging
my eyeballs out.
